Springfield has an incredible opportunity to build a new convention and events center that will create hundreds of permanent jobs, attract private investment, and strengthen our local economy.
This project would help Springfield compete for major events, boost year-round tourism, and expand opportunities for local community events. Best of all, the convention and events center would be paid for by visitors staying in local hotels and motels—not by Springfield residents—and would include citizen oversight to ensure funds are spent as promised.
